A mere continuation of Auckland Poems series, fifth in line, printed in reverse and felt in
darkness. What does that mean in English? This is the fifth collection in the Auckland University
poetry series and has the dark blue sadness of an early winter of 2006.
The Auckland poetry series of around ten books is a collection of poems influenced by the
university, time away from home, a dying mom and a heart that was raw and in pain. It is also a
tribute to Auckland University and my teachers Tusiata Avia, Selina Tusitala Marsh, M Leggott,
Lisa, Helen and Mike Johnson.
